The Happy Place By Lindsay Sganga Is Live On Squarespace
Lindsay Sganga wanted a website that would bring more clarity to the services that her digital marketing business, The Happy Place, offers. She also wanted a website that expresses the elegant, bohemian and free-spirited energy that Lindsay embodies herself. Lindsay was an ABSOLUTE DREAM to work with and LOVED her website design right away! Lindsay herself said, "It's literally me in a website."
Her site is a Restyle of our vault template Poppy. We love especially how the homepage turned out, and can’t wait to see how it helps her business.
“You're not meant for everyone, and that's a wonderful thing… There's a real magic in owning your niche and not trying to please everyone.”

GOLIVE: WHERE DID YOUR PASSION FOR THE INDUSTRY OR CRAFT START?
Lindsay: Since I was a little girl I've been a storyteller. Sharing stories through writing, photography and video. After graduating Journalism school and going straight into digital editing, I found my voice in helping others tell their stories online.
When I began working within the social media world, my eyes lit up and I fell in love with the magic innovative thinkers could create on this space. That little girl with her camera in hand would be so excited to know that she was now bringing people's stories and brands to life every single day.
GOLIVE: DID YOUR EDUCATION HELP PREPARE YOU FOR THE INDUSTRY OR FOR STARTING YOUR OWN BUSINESS? OR ARE YOU SELF-TAUGHT?
Lindsay: 50 - 50. Journalism school taught prepared me for life and instilled an unapologetic approach to business in me. You can't be scared of anything after thrown on TV or interviewing strangers at 19. Social Media was self-taught. Thank you Google. And my coaching abilities, those are truly fueled by the fire inside me to watch other succeed.
GOLIVE: WHAT’S THE HARDEST LESSON YOU’VE LEARNED IN YOUR BUSINESS?
Lindsay: That you're not meant for everyone, and that's a wonderful thing. There will be clients that align with you and they will do incredible things. The ones that don't work out, don't for a reason and that's okay. There's a real magic in owning your niche and not trying to please everyone.
GO LIVE: WHAT DO YOU WISH SOMEONE WOULD HAVE TOLD YOU WHEN YOU STARTED OUT?
Lindsay: You don't need to make it by 25.
There's all this rush with social media nowadays to being famous and a millionaire so quickly, so young. But it's not true. It doesn't happen overtime, it happens aft er years of hard, consistent work.
GO LIVE: WHAT WAS THE MOMENT YOU HAD WHEN YOU SAID, “I SHOULD DO THIS” OR WHAT MADE YOU TAKE THE JUMP INTO WORKING FOR YOURSELF?
Lindsay: 6 months into corporate. After people pleasing, being over worked and underpaid and getting lack credit for creative lead I knew there was more out there. I saw the major trend for entreprene urs seeking help to build their digital presence, but with a real person and not an agency or robot. I knew after my first client meeting, after I saw their face light up with excitement that this was where I was meant to be.
GO LIVE: WHAT THINGS HAVE YOU GAINED / DO YOU HOPE TO GAIN IN YOUR LIFE FROM FOLLOWING THIS DREAM?
Lindsay: I wake up every morning following the schedule I get to build for myself. I never t urn off because I get to choose when I turn on. The biggest freedom I've gained the ability to work from anywhere in the world and somehow work with all different kinds of people. There's something so beautiful about having a global community and business from the comfort of your home.
GO LIVE: WHY DID YOU ULTIMATELY DECIDE TO WORK WITH US FOR YOUR RESTYLE OR CUSTOM DESIGN?
Lindsay: I found GoLive via a designer friend. I followed on IG and I FELL IN LOVE. My favorite thing about GoLive, they were made to make life easy for entrepreneur s, the exact same ethos as The Happy Place. We were aligned and I knew I needed to work with them.
GO LIVE: ANYTHING ELSE WE SHOULD KNOW OR WANT TO GET OFF YOUR CHEST?
Lindsay: This was the most seamless experience I have ever had with a design and web development company. I am so grateful for the team that put my site together. This is me in a website and it's finally, truly The Happy Place.
