Elegant And Inviting Squarespace Design For Live Portrait Artist
Jennie is an artist based out of Denver, Colorado. She specializes in live wedding paintings and custom artwork. We had the pleasure of designing Jennie Lou’s first website, and we loved getting to work with her again on this redesign.
Here's what she had to say about launching her new website: "I wanted my branding to reflect how much I have grown as an artist and professional over the last 6+ years since I first designed my website. It's a celebration of how far I have come, and where I am headed as an artist!"
One of our main goals for this project was to reflect the evolution of Jennie Lou’s art and craft over the last six years. We chose The Method Template for Squarespace as the base for her Restyle Design. The color palette we chose helped make her site feel calm and inviting. We integrated fun custom gold elements and paint brush strokes throughout the design to make it elegant and fun. Jennie Lou’s stunning art and high-end imagery were the perfect addition to make this design come to life.
Q&A with Jennie Lou
What is your expertise or claim to fame?
I am a professional live event painter and traveling artist!
What’s the hardest lesson you’ve learned in your business?
It is okay to value yourself and your work. Do not be afraid to charge what you are worth, and do not play small. No one can live out who you are called to be, except you, and no one will value your individual gifts more than you. Stand your ground, and believe in your value!
What does it mean to you to redesign your website?
I just wanted my branding to reflect how much I have grown as an artist and professional over the last 6+ years since I first designed my website. It's a celebration of how far I have come, and where I am headed as an artist!
Why did you ultimately decide to work with GoLive?
I used them the first time around, and I was so happy with my old website. I did not consider anyone else to do the job!
Anything else you’d like to get off your chest?
You don't have to be a "starving artist"!! Just work hard and be willing to listen to what people like and don't like!!
