This is what they had to say about choosing to work with us:
“"Once we learned more about their business model and how streamlined their entire process is, we were sold! It took us over a year to build our last website. I didn't want to go through that again!" - Harmony Grillo, Founder
ABOUT THE DESIGN
The work that Harmony Grillo is doing at Treasure is extraordinary and we were honored to work on this project. Our team worked on a Restyle of our Salt + Sage Template for Squarespace. One of the main goals was to showcase their content, resources and opportunities for partnership while also evoking hope and compassion. We accomplished this through the choices in the color palette and photography, which also kept it classic and timeless. We also used unique elements such as collapsible menus to organize their content.
Q&A with Harmony Grillo
What is your expertise or claim to fame?
I am best known for overcoming a history of abuse and exploitation, a story I share in my memoir, Scars and Stilettos, and for founding Treasures, a survivor-led outreach and support group to women in the sex industry and victims of sex trafficking i n 2003. I am passionate about supporting women in their journeys towards healing and freedom. Driven by hope, I am someone who believes it is never too late for a new beginning and that the dreams of our heart, no matter how broken, dormant, or dead, can still be brought to life.
What’s the hardest lesson you’ve learned in your business?
You don't have to be good at everything to be great. As a leader, I The hardest lesson I have learned is that soul-care and self-care are absolutely vital to longevity and sustainability. Especially in a field where we work with victims of trauma. I have been on the brink of burnout more than once and it almost cost me everything. It is very important to me to maintain a pace of life and an organizational pace that is healthy and sustainable. I don't always do this well, but I am committed to the process.
What does it mean to you to redesign your website?
I cannot overstate the value and importance of our website. It is how we communicate who we are. It is how we build trust with women who are contemplating reaching out for support. It is how we invite people to partner with us in our vision. It is a n educational tool to help people understand the realities of sexual exploitation and trafficking.
Why did you ultimately decide to work with GoLive?
We were drawn to them based on the work we saw them do on other people's websites. Once we learned more about their business model and how streamlined their entire process is, we were sold! It took us over a year to build our last website. I didn't want to go through that again! GoLive gave us a strategy to build a beautiful website, without straining our finances and time resources.
