Digital Marketing Director
If you study digital marketing strategies daily, love directing marketing efforts at a high level, and have some background in branding, website design, and/or Squarespace, this position is for you.
DESCRIPTION
The Digital Marketing of GoLive is a seasoned digital marketing expert with knowledge to lead strategies for social media, paid traffic campaigns, email campaigns, webinars, e-commerce sales campaigns, and new client acquisition. He or she’s got an eye for what’s trending, is a planner, a strategist, and can lead a team of copywriters, designers, social media managers, and technicians to execute a marketing campaign from start to finish. This role also requires a love for analytics, improvement, goal setting, testing, and results-driven marketing efforts. This position reports directly to the COO, Hunter Rohwer, and the CEO & Creative Director, Promise Tangeman.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for leading digital strategy & execution across all organic and paid channels to position GoLive as THE solution for Squarespace website design for personality-driven brands
Monitoring digital marketing strategies that increase brand awareness, drive revenue and new customer and client leads, and introduce GoLive to new audiences
Work with the creative team (copywriter, designer, ads team) to create and maintain paid social media and Google ad campaigns to reach key audiences
Work cross functionally with our ecommerce (template shop), social media, planning, leadership, and design teams to ensure digital channels support business goals and seasonal initiatives
Regularly analyze and report on the performance of marketing campaigns and initiatives, using data and analytics to inform decision-making and optimize results
Send leadership team regular (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual) reports on results, places that we’re succeeding, places that need improvement, and plans to shift, change & grow
Work in tandem with a creative team of (2-4 contractors) to produce high-end, creative, and show-stopping graphics, copywriting, and marketing materials
EXAMPLES OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Create a marketing calendar of monthly and quarterly marketing focuses depending on the business goals, set deadlines to ensure all marketing prep and strategies execute on time
Planning and executing our large ecommerce (website template) semi-annual sales by planning special digital events or webinars to promote the sale, bundling products, sales page production, social and paid ad graphics, and planning strategic email campaigns. These sales typically happen 3x per year in the Spring, Summer and Fall.
Creating and maintaining our strategy for organic social channels on Instagram, LinkedIn & Pinterest including occasionally creating designs in Canva, writing captions, and more
Routinely work with the creative and ads team to create paid ads for Facebook and Instagram (possibly Pinterest and LinkedIn as well) for lead generation and ecommerce sales. Continually tweak and refresh creative as needed.
Create, maintain, and manage our email marketing strategy for middle of the funnel campaigns such as nurture campaigns, weekly email series, segmentation campaigns, automations, what emails get sent out after different opt-ins, etc
Work with the creative team to brainstorm, create, test and deliver new lead magnets, email opt-ins, free trainings, webinars, and more to generate more leads for ecommerce (website templates), new clients, and paid coaching/trainings
Develop a brand new strategy for our team to utilize LinkedIn as a social and sales tool from the GoLive company page
Routinely meet with clients or customers via video calls, DMs, or email to collect testimonials, case studies, and stories to share via our marketing campaigns
Pitch content to the leadership team (CEO & COO) for content that needs created for paid and organic traffic for videos, Reels, webinars, Instagram Lives, etc
SKILLS & BACKGROUND
6+ years of marketing / branding experience
Must have prior experience at a digital marketing agency or proven self-employed business history with client successes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Thorough understanding of current digital marketing strategies for online service-based businesses and digital e-commerce
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to create and meet deadlines
A high degree of resourcefulness, initiative, leadership, and creativity
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
