Project Manager
We’re looking for someone who can lead our clients through our fast-paced process!
DESCRIPTION
Reporting to our Client Manager, the Project Manager is responsible for setting up our clients for success and managing them during our fast-paced design process. Ideally, this person has some design and Squarespace experience, but prefers to work in setup, project management, brand and web strategy, and delivering a stellar client experience by chasing down all the little details and being wildly over-communicative with both our team and our clients.
The project manager role is a BOTH a project manager role and a strategy role in that, this person would help the client pick their website template, plan their website project page-by-page with our templates as a guide on a strategy call, help the client make strategy-based decisions about how to position their brand and their offerings, and help them make sure they have a clear overall vision for their brand and design before and during their design week with our team.
LOCATION
Worldwide (remote), but must have working hours between Eastern and Pacific timezones.
ROLE TYPE
This is a part-time, contractor position that's booked and billed per client at a flat rate. It's usually about 10-12 hours per client spread out over a 3 to 4-week period. You could be booked for multiple client projects at one time.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Host and lead an initial 1-hour Strategy Call with the client to: determine and define the overall website goal; help them pick a template from the shop; put together their plan page-by-page; help them make clear CTAs on the site and each page; figure out their email marketing strategy (if any) and how to incorporate it on the site; help make suggestions to better market and position their brand; determine any specific Squarespace notes needed for the designer (for example: "This section should be a 'list format' so the client can easily add or edit it later")
Respond to and answer questions for the client in the weeks preceding their design week while they are filling out their "prep" materials before they are due
Review the client's "prep" materials when it's due and check for holes, ask clarifying questions, make suggestions, and overall make sure it's TOTALLY ready for a designer
Schedule routine calls needed for each project and managing Zoom links and calendar invites
Assisting the designer with communication to the client during the design week with what to expect and when feedback deadlines are coming up
Check the designer's work and make sure the design is meeting the client's vision and Squarespace’s technical requirements
Help with transferring domains, blogs, or other content related to getting our clients moved over or started on Squarespace (some training available)
Be willing to jump in and assist with email newsletter connections, adding products to shops, and basic SEO as needed (some training available)
Wrap up the project with positivity and provide a STELLAR communication and customer experience throughout the entire time working with GoLive
Stay up-to-date on new Squarespace features, and knowing how to implement them for our clients
Consulting and coaching our designers to implement tools, features, plugins, add-ons and custom code to make our clients’ Squarespace sites unique, dynamic, usable, and strategic
Researching potential tech solutions for clients (such as: “I want to embed an online conference on my website! How do I do that?”)
SKILLS
Meticulous with attention to detail, and able to see multiple solution paths for online business. This person should be obsessed with brand strategy, positioning, marketing tech, and all things online business. Ultimately, our clients and customers are getting more and more technology-dependent to run their business, and we want to make sure moving them to Squarespace for their website is as seamless as possible.
