3 Easy Changes To Improve Your Website

1. Cut Down On Excess Copywriting And Information.

Kneaded Bake Shop’s website has a lot of extra copywriting that we breezed right through when scanning their website. Unfortunately, the hard truth is that people do not read websites anymore!

Since a website is now more of a marketing tool and less of a large hub of information, we’d recommend significantly cutting down on your copywriting on your website. This helps keep your website clean and easy-to-read or scannable.

2. Add Photos To Break Up Your Design And Big Blocks Of Text.

In this example, Kneaded Bake Shop uses their very professional and beautiful photography as a background behind some text, so the photo is hidden behind a white overlay.

Since her photos are so detailed, professional, and on-brand, we’d recommend removing the photo from the background, and instead, we’d place a block or gallery below the text showcasing some of her popular baked goods.

This not only helps showcase her products with the photography she has, it also helps break up the design as a whole.

3. Have A Clear Call To Action.

Kneaded Bake Shop’s website is a one-page website, which means that everything is available in one scroll rather than clicking from page to page. This is great way to make a sleek and simple website.

However, one thing that may be missing with this layout is a clear “what’s next?” for the client or customer. They need more direction and clarification on what to read in what order, and what to click on or do next on the website.

We’d include clear calls-to-action to the tell the customer what to do or read next. In this case, we need a clear call-to-action to either read the menu, visit the shop, or call to place an order! Make sure to be clear with what you want your end goal of the site to be, and direct your customers and clients to do that.

Kneaded Bake Shop, congrats on your amazing niche and we wish you the best in your business! These are just a few tips and tricks we’d recommend to take your website to the next level and better market your bakery shop.
