Renovate Church is a newly planted church located in Long Beach, CA led by Chris Kirish. After being online for nearly a year, they recently had their grand opening and began in-person church services!

ABOUT THE DESIGN
The main goal for this website was two-fold: to serve as a hub for church members to get information and access messages and as a landing page for potential new guests. With that in mind, we kept the design simple and easy to navigate. Using the Penny Squarespace Template as the base for this Restyle, we incorporated bright colors, clean fonts and layered photo collages to create a modern, urban feel.

What is your expertise or claim to fame?
We are a church that planted in Long Beach, CA in the beginning of Covid. What was originally planned as an in-person launch in September of 2020 quickly turned into an online launch Easter of 2020. Since then we've been working hard with the city and are excited that we will be opening our doors! We exist to reach the people of Long Beach and surrounding areas to make them heart and soulful followers of Jesus Christ.
What’s the hardest lesson you’ve learned in your business?
Starting a church is hard, intentional work. People always say "do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life" but often forget that, in order to feel like you're not working, you need to work your TAIL off to set a necessary foundation to have things feel like it isn't work. And we truly believe we have the best "product" around. And while we undoubtedly respect where anyone is at in whatever spiritual journey they're on, our mission is to let God do His thing through our team so people will know God and have a relationship with Jesus.
What does it mean to you to redesign your website?
It means a lot. The "front door" to many churches these days is through the website. Having things be as visually pleasing as they are makes all the difference. Pain points on websites are real and GoLive has really helped us make the entire experience something anyone can enjoy. More importantly that experience can lead to people getting connected to a community and we really believe life is not meant to be done alone!
Why did you ultimately decide to work with GoLive?
I had the privilege of working alongside Promise's husband for almost three years. I had already known of GoLive so when it was time to do a revamp, there was no doubt in my mind that I wanted to work with Promise and her team. I have never encountered a more helpful and experienced team.
