God's Got This Is Live On Squarespace

We were honored to work with Kayla Stocklein to design a new website for her family’s blog, God’s Got This. We wanted to create a site that felt classic and timeless, something that could expand the mission of God’s Got This to reach even more people.

Using streetwear as inspiration, we created a site that can evolve as the brand grows – starting with the bold photography that speaks to the audience and where they are at. Check out our exclusive Q&A with Kayla below to learn more about the powerful story behind the blog.

“Dream big, don’t fear failure, and act now because life is short!”

GO LIVE HQ: WHERE DID YOUR PASSION FOR THE INDUSTRY OR CRAFT START?

Kayla: Our passion for GGT was born in a small hospital room. When my father in law, David, was diagnosed with Leukemia in the fall of 2011, "God's got this" was his response. He encouraged all of us to lean into God through this trial instead of turning away from Him. My husband, Andrew, started the blog as a simple way to communicate the leukemia journey with our church family since my father in law was the lead pastor at the time. We also created wristbands to spread the message of hope throughout the world.

GO LIVE HQ: DID YOUR EDUCATION HELP PREPARE YOU FOR THE INDUSTRY OR ARE YOU SELF-TAUGHT?

Kayla: I would say our life experience has prepared us to be ready to turn GGT from a blog into a business. Through sharing our own trials, we have come to realize pain is universal and we are all looking for hope. Our mission is for the phrase "God's Got This" to become a stronghold for people facing trials of all kinds.

GO LIVE HQ: WHAT’S THE HARDEST LESSON YOU’VE LEARNED IN YOUR BUSINESS?

Kayla: I wish we would have launched the business sooner. It was my husband's passion to sell more merchandise and grow the brand. Unfortunately he suddenly passed away in August, so he never had the chance to watch his dream come alive.

GO LIVE HQ: WHAT DO YOU WISH SOMEONE WOULD HAVE TOLD YOU WHEN YOU STARTED OUT?

Kayla: Dream big, don’t fear failure, and act now because life is short!

GO LIVE HQ: WHAT WAS THE MOMENT YOU HAD WHEN YOU SAID “I SHOULD DO THIS” OR WHAT MADE YOU TAKE THE JUMP INTO WORKING FOR YOURSELF?

Kayla: After Andrew's passing, we felt a huge responsibility to update and revamp the God's Got This brand. We wanted to honor the life of Andrew and his father David by keeping a message they were passionate about alive. Andrew always wanted to create a line of merchandise so we are thrilled to launch some new products soon!

GO LIVE: WHAT THINGS HAVE YOU GAINED / DO YOU HOPE TO GAIN IN YOUR LIFE FROM FOLLOWING THIS DREAM?

Kayla: Following this dream has helped us to discover new passion and purpose in our pain. As we share our story and grief journey, we have been amazed at the response from people all around the world. The common denominator is pain. In this life we will have struggles and we will have pain. We are all grasping for ways to cope and navigate through the dark times. Our hope is for God's Got This to be a resource for hurting people. We want people to visit our website, read the blog, shop in the store and leave encouraged with the message of "you are not alone."

WHY DID YOU ULTIMATELY DECIDE TO WORK WITH US FOR YOUR RESTYLE?

Kayla: We have always admired Go Live HQ for their clean and stunning websites. When we first started talking about revamping our website Go Live HQ was at the top of our list for designer options. Working with you all has been a dream come true and we are thrilled with how the website turned out. It is perfect!
