The Always, Emily blog is a faith-based blog created by Emily Heidt. Emily’s hope is that her blog is a safe place for readers to step into the broken places of their stories and find hope and healing.

ABOUT THE DESIGN
One of our main goals for this project was to create a space that felt cozy and warm. We started with our Olivia May Template as a base for this Restyle, due to its clean, sophisticated and strategic layout. Then we incorporated Emily’s brand colors, fonts, and custom floral design elements to make the site unique. These design pieces, along with the soft and delicate photography, made it all some together seamlessly.
Q&A with Emily Heidt
What is your expertise or claim to fame?
My expertise is making room for others to find rest amidst the real and the messy, and creating a safe space where people can have the opportunity to enter the broken areas of their life with the grace of Jesus (me included). I love being able to sit with someone and ask them how they are REALLY doing, to share my real stories and invite them to share theirs. I want to be that person who stays and listens. No need to prove anything, do anything, or show up a certain way — just come and be.
What’s the hardest lesson you’ve learned in your business?
Your business or blog isn't the same as someone else's, and it will never be someone else's. There is a lot of temptation to stick to social media/blog/business formulas these days, but I've learned that there is actually quite a bit freedom to be found in being a box breaker in that way. I tell myself all of the time not to be afraid to live outside of the lines a little bit and creatively play around.
What does it mean to you to redesign your website?
It means that the bold, brave words that God has put on my heart can finally have a safe place to live and create honest community with others. Simply priceless!
